MORE Smarties!

We have 4 more students that have earned their SMARTIE award! I am so proud of how hard the students have been working on their sight words:)

Matthew, Kaylee, and Tanika have really been working hard. They were able to fluently read our second set of sight words, so they got their Blow Pop award:)

 

 

SWEET Readers

These SWEET readers have worked really hard to master their first set of sight words.  Way to go Tanika, Matthew, and Kaylee:)

Noah and Elizabeth earned their Blow Pop Award this week by mastering our second set of sight words! Keep up the good work:)

Grandparents Day

We had some special guests for lunch on Friday, September 14th!  Several grandparents were able to attend our Grandparents Day lunch and eat a delicious burger with their special first grader:) 

Smarties

Check out these little "smarties" Noah and Elizabeth were the first two students to learn our first 15 sight words! Way to go:)  Sight words are really important in first grade.  These tricky words cannot be sounded out so the students are learning to recognize them in order to read/write them fluently.
