100th Day of School

Tuesday, January 24th was our 100th day of school!  The students were asked to create a collection of 100 things at home and bring it to school on Tuesday. All of the 100 collections were put on display in the cafeteria for all to see.

I decided to wear my 100 day project:)

2012 Spelling Bee

The 2012 Spelling Bee took place on Friday, January 13th. We had three excellent participants who represented our class well!

Congrats to Thane!!! He was the overall winner of the 2012 Spelling Bee. He will go on to compete in the County Spelling Bee.

New Year's Resolutions

Since last week was such a short week for us, the students did a New Year's Resolution writing activity. We discussed how a resolution is like a promise that you make to yourself. After reading about the history of the holiday, the students made a list of resolutions for school and home. Finally, they chose one of the school resolutions to publish with their "party people." They were SOOOO excited to blow their party horns before we glued them on:) They turned out great...
