Live Love and Learn

I have a very heavy heart tonight...as I sit and reflect on all of the learning, laughing, and loving that went on in our classroom last week, I am reminded of the gift that I have been given. I get to see 16 smiling faces rush into my classroom excited and ready to learn something new each day. I thank the Lord that he has entrusted me with His beautiful children, all representing unique personalities, abilities, needs, and dreams! Not just today, but every day, I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of each and every one of these precious little lives. I am determined, now more than ever, to make each moment count. We always need to remember to count our blessings!

Field Trip Fun

 

We went on our first field trip on Friday, December 7th and we had a BLAST! The whole first grade went to the Fort Smith Malco Theater to watch Rise of the Guardians. It was a great movie and the kids loved it! Once the movie started, I didn't hear a peep from the kids, except for the sounds of munching popcorn:)

 

 

After the movie we went to the park for a picnic lunch and playtime. It was a great day!

We Are Readers!

I am just amazed at how much progress the students have made in their reading skills. I mean, they are reading EVERYTHING! It is just so much fun to see them read a book independently and most imporantly their love of reading is growing each day:) It warms my heart and makes me soooooo proud!
